Ingredients for the cake:
½ cup margarine or butter
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
½ cup cocoa
½ cup milk
1 cup flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon instant coffee powder
½ cup boiling water

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit
Mix margarine, sugar and vanilla in a mixer 1-2 minutes
Add the egg and mix until blended

Add ½ cup cocoa. Mix, then scrape the cocoa off the sides of the mixer and mix until blended

Mix in the milk, flour, baking powder and baking soda

Dissolve 1 tablespoon of instant coffee powder in ½ cup of boiling water
Pour it into the mixer and mix
The batter will be thin

Put into a greased round 9” baking pan and bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees fahrenheit
Cool in the pan before removing

Ingredients for cream filling:
2 cups milk
¼ cup sugar
3 tablespoons corn flour
2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Put all the ingredients in a pot and mix them thoroughly without heat

Turn on a medium flame and cook until thick, stirring all the time
Turn off the fire and stir the mixture to release the steam about 10 min

Put it into a bowl and cover it. Put it in the refrigerator until cold

Slice the cake across into 2 equal layers

Put the cold cream in the center of 1 layer – do not put it near the ends, it will spread when you put the other layer on top
Put the second layer on top of it

Ingredients for the chocolate icing:
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
3 tablespoons cocoa
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Melt the butter or margarine on low flame in a pot
Add the remaining ingredients and stir constantly until blended.
When it begins to boil remove it from the heat

Pour the icing right away on top of the cake
Quickly before it cools too much spread it around to cover the cake

With a knife or spatula spread the drippings along the sides
This can be done by holding the knife or spatula at an angle and turning the dish
Put the cake in the refrigerator until the icing is set
