How to make a ring from beads using the ladder stitch

This beginner’s guide will show you how easy it is to make a ring from beads using the ladder stitch.

Difficulty level: Beginners

Instructions:

To make a bead ring you will need:
About 32 inch long string - strong thread or elastic thread
Needle
Beads -18 large beads were used for the guide. This is good for children or to learn the process but smaller beads look more elegant and you will needs at least 4 times as much
Scissors

Thread your needle and string 4 beads about 4 inches from the end of the string

Bring the needle around and insert it into the left side of the beads.

Pull it through

Bend 2 beads down and tighten

Continue to tighten until they are as in picture.
Add 2 more beads with the needle to the string

Insert the needle through the top of the previous 2 beads.

Pull the thread through and then tighten so that the beads are aligned

Result

Insert the needle in the last row from the bottom and pull the thread through

Add 2 more beads, insert the needle through the bottom and pull the thread through

Insert the needle through the bottom of the last 2 beads and pull the thread through

Repeat from step 7 until you have made enough rows to go around you finger

Put the needle through one more time so that the string comes out of the last 2 beads

Bring the needle around to the first 2 beads, insert it through the bottom and pull the thread through
