How to make Hamentashen cookies with chocolate filling

This guide will show you how to make these triangle shaped cookies. Any of your favorite roll out cookie doughs and fillings can be used instead.

Difficulty level: Beginners

Instructions:

Ingredients:
1 cup butter or margarine
2 – 3 chocolate bars broken into squares
1 cup sugar
½ cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 cups flour plus more for the counter
2 teaspoons baking powder
Rolling pin
Medium size coffee cup

Mix the margarine, sugars, eggs and vanilla, until well combined

Add the baking powder and 1 cup of flour
Mix until well combined

Add another cup of flour and mix until well combined

Continue to add the remaining flour 1 cup at a time until it is well mixed.
Add a little more if you touch it and it sticks to your finger

Roll out the dough to about ¼ inch thick with a floured rolling pin on a flour surface

Press the cup into the dough to cut circles.
Leave them in place and pull up the dough outside of the circle. Gather it to roll out again for more cookies.

Place a square of chocolate in the center of each circle
