This is a great toilet paper roll craft project to do with children. These boxes are made with things you would normally throw out. The kids …and maybe you too will enjoy making and decorating them.

Difficulty level: Beginners

Instructions:

Materials:
Toilet paper roll
Thick cardboard for the box cover
Thin cardboard for the bottom
Small bottle cap
Plastic glue
Scissors
Pen
1 round object with a diameter slightly smaller than the toilet paper roll diameter
1 round object with diameter slightly larger than toilet paper roll diameter

Cut the toilet paper roll to the height you want to box to be.

On thick cardboard trace the outline of the object that is slightly larger than the diameter of the toilet paper roll

On thick cardboard trace 2 outlines of the object that is smaller than the toilet paper roll

Cut out the circles

Glue the 2 smaller circles one on top of the other

Glue the 2 circles you just did in the last step to the center of the bigger circle

Result
The little circles stop the cover from sliding around and falling off

Pour plastic glue into a cover or other object that you do not need.
Place the toilet paper roll into it.
Turn it around to make sure that all of the edge is covered generously with glue

Place the edge with the glue onto the light piece of cardboard.
Press down to make sure all of the edge is touching the cardboard.

Let it dry completely

Place the cap into the glue and swirl it around to make sure it is generously coated on the bottom
