How to make rings from junk mail

Bored or in a creative mood? There is always junk mail to turn into craft projects.
This guide will show you how to use junk mail to make rings.

Difficulty level: Beginners

Instructions:

Materials:
Junk mail
Scissors
Paper glue
Toothpick

Gather some junk mail.
Cut a few strips 1 ½ inch wide

Fold the strips in half lengthwise and unfold

Fold the top and bottom edges to the center crease you just made

Fold it in half lengthwise again

Result
If you have white edges you can cut them off

Take the folded strips and wrap them around the glue stick or something round to soften them.

Remove

Cut the pointed edge off of the tooth pick.

If you don't have a toothpick you can use a skewer

•If a child is making the rings, you can cut off both pointed ends.

This part is for an adult.
Carefully make a slit in the cut end of the toothpick

Slide the end of the folded paper into the slit

Make sure that the open end is at the bottom

Roll up the paper

When you have gotten close to the end, push the rolled paper against the table to flatten it.
Put glue on the end and finish rolling the paper

Glue down any part of the end sticking up.

Glue the edge of the second paper next to the end of the first.
Make sure that the open side of the folded paper is on the bottom.

Roll the paper around, flatten it against the table and glue the end.
Repeat adding strips until you have the size circle you want.

When you have finished remove the coil from the tooth pick and glue down any part of the end sticking out.

Take a strip and wrap it around you knuckle. Put glue on the strip to hold it in place.

Remove the coil and glue the rest of the strip around it.

Result

Put a generous amount of glue on the end of the ring and press the coil to it.

When the glue has dried your ring is ready to wear.
