How to make a paper rose without glue

This guide will show to how to cut and twist the petals together to make a paper rose

Difficulty level: Beginners

Instructions:

Materials:
Paper
Scissors
Wire, pipe cleaner or string
Optional: toothpick

Cut 6 rectangles of each size:
2 inches X 4 inches
1 ¾ inches X 3 ¾ inches
1 ½ inches X 3 ½ inches
1 ¼ inches X 3 ¼ inches

Bring the long edges together to fold the rectangle in half lengthwise
Make a sharp crease

Bring the short edges together to fold them in half again
Make a sharp crease

Align the same size rectangles on top of each other.

Fold them in half and cut out the shape shown in the picture.

Take one of each size and fold it in half lengthwise.

With the smallest at the top insert the folded petals so that they are gradually bigger in size. Make sure the center is aligned.

Place the 6 grouped petals on top of each other facing the same way.
Wrap the wire or string tightly around the center

Bring the petals up and around the wound wire to make a circle

Lift one of the smallest petals and fold it back in the opposite direction

Lift and fold back the small petal next to it
Continue to fold back the small petals in order.

Then do each row of petals in order of size

Result
You can leave the flower as it is or continue with the next step

Curl one side of each petal inward until you get to the last row of the largest petals
Curl one side of the row of largest petals downward

Your paper rose is finished!
