Materials:
2 identical squares of paper – this demonstration used the square paper for telephone notes
Cardboard
White glue
Masking tape
Pencil
Scissors

Place the square paper on cardboard, draw a line around it and cut it out

Fold the square paper in half. unfold

Fold the top and bottom edges to the center crease. Unfold

Fold the bottom edge up to the ¼ crease you just made. Unfold
Repeat on the other side

Rotate the paper so that the creases are from top to bottom.

Fold from top of the crease to the right of the center at an angle to the bottom right edge. Unfold

Fold from top of the crease to the left of the center at an angle to the left bottom edge. Refold the right side.

Turn the paper so that the narrow part in on the bottom .
Fold the narrow bottom edge up about 1/3. of the way.

Use the paper you just folded as a template. Draw a line around it 8 times on cardboard and cut out the 8 pieces.

Put masking tape on the 4 sides of the square cardboard. The tape should be on the bottom with sticky side facing up.

Put tape on one side of 4 of the trapezoid shape cardboard peices.

Put glue around the inside edge of the square.
Put glue on the side opposite of the taped side of each of the 4 trapezoids

Align the trazoids to make a square on top and place them on the glued edge of the square.

Move the pieces around until you are satisfied that they are all aligned and press the tape to hold them in place.
Let the glue dry completely

This is a nice shape by itself and can be used as is.
To continue go to the next step.

Fold the second square paper in half horizontally and half again vertically to get the crease lines for ¼. Cut out one quarter piece.

Drawer a line around the quarter piece you just cut out 4 times on cardboard.
Cut out the 4 squares.

Put tape on one side of each of the 4 squares you just cut out. The sticky side should be facing up.

Put glue on the opposite edge of each of them

Put glue on the top of the model that you made in step

Align the 4 squares on top of the base. Press the tape when you are satisfied with their placement.

Let the glue dry completely

When the glue has dried, put tape on one side of each of the remaining 4 trapazoids.

Put glue on the opposite edge.

Put glue on the top of the base model.

Align the top edges of the 4 trapoziods to make a square. Align the bottom to the top of the base.

Press the tape when you are satisfied with their placement. Let the glue dry completely.

Your model is finished. Now you can cover it with paper mache or decorate it .
