Sometimes it is necessary to have a picture of what is on your computer screen. You may need to send it to someone for technical support or to write a guide for "UCanDoStuff.com" that requires a screenshot.

Difficulty level: Beginners

Instructions:

Keep whatever you want to have a picture of on your screen.

Press the "Print Screen" on your keyboard. It may have an abbreviation such as "PrtSc"

When you press the PrintScreen key you won't see anything happening - but you computer is copying everything that shows on the screen.

Open the program Microsoft Paint

Click on "Edit" and then click on "Paste"

or

You can press "Ctrl" and the letter v -on your keyboard.

A picture of what was on your screen will appear in the paint program window.

You can save it as it is or use the paint program to make changes.
