How to make long conical paper beads

These are great for necklaces with cone shaped beads that gradually get smaller in size.

Difficulty level: Beginners

Instructions:

Materials:
paper
Ruler
Pen
Scissors or craft knife
Paper glue
Optional: tooth pick or skewer for rolling the beads

Decide how long you want the bead to be. Mark the length on the bottom edge of the paper.

*A finished bead is shown at the bottom of the picture
The bead in the picture was made from a 14 inch long piece of paper. The bead length was measured along the bottom width.

Make a line connecting the mark you made and the top corner of the paper

* Pay attention that only one side of the triangle is slanted
This is the shape needed to make a conical bead.

Roll the strip tightly from the wide bottom edge
*Make sure that the straight edge, shown on the left of the triangle in the picture, is aligned as you roll.

When you get to the end glue it in place
