Start by gathering the things you need to make the French tips.
1. Clear nail polish
2. French tips are the white line you put on the edge of the nails and for that you need a clear base polish and white. (You can also use the clear base polish and a milky pink instead of white).
3. Tape (not electrical tape, that will leave an adhesive residue on the nail).

Wash your hands. If you have cuticles covering the bottom of your nails gently push them down with a cuticle stick.
Coat your nails with the clear base polish and wait for it to dry.

Cut 10 pieces of tape about 1.5 inches long

Stick a piece of tap in an arc below the white part of each nail.
If you have long fake nails you can cover the nails in a straight line

Apply the white polish on the nail above the tape.
Dip a Q-tip into nail polish remover and carefully clean off any polish that gets on your fingers and if needed to fix the edge made by the tape.

Wait for the polish to dry for about 10 minutes.

After the polish has dried, carefully remove the tape from your nails by lifting one side and gently pulling it in the other direction

Coat each nail with clear nail polish and let it dry for about 10 minutes.
