When there is very hot weather and your air conditioner is not working, you should pay attention that your body temperature does not get too high.

Early morning and late evening are usually the coolest time of the day. If the temperature is comfortable outside, open your windows to let the cool air in. Close the windows and shades when the temperature outside starts to rise.

Physical activity will make your body temperature go up. Keep it to a minimum.
Take cold showers.
Turn on your fan and constantly wet your hair, shirt, arms and legs.

Drink lots of cold water.
Make smoothies and other drinks and put them in the freezer. If they are frozen solid you can eat them slowly by scraping them with a spoon.
Cut fruit into pieces, freeze them and you can gnaw on them.

Do not cook, boil water or use the oven. It will make the temperature go up.
Do not eat hot heavy meals or drink hot liquids.
Prepare food that you can eat cold so that you are not tempted to just heat something up when you are hungry.

Sleep without a blanket and as little clothes as possible.
Turn your fan at an angle so that the air bounces in your direction.
