This is a simple envelope to fold. It can be made from a letter or a separate piece of paper to slip a letter into. It does not need glue to stay closed because the top folds over and slips into the pocket.

Difficulty level: Beginners

Instructions:

You will need 1 rectangle piece of paper.

*Note the bigger the length to the width of the paper the thinner the envelope will be

Place the paper with the short edges at the sides.

Fold the paper in half vertically
unfold

Fold in half horizontally
Unfold

Fold the bottom up about 1/3 the way to the middle crease
unfold

Bring the corners up to the crease you just made

Fold the sides along the vertical edge of the triangles you just made

Fold the sides along the inner side of the triangle
You just made

Starting about 1/3 from the center crease fold the top corners down

Bring the top down, tuck it into the pocket at the bottom and crease.
