This guide will show you how to fold rectangles of paper into the triangular units with pockets used to create 3D shapes. This type of Origami is known as 3D Origami and also Golden Venture Origami.

Difficulty level: Beginners

Instructions:

To make 3d units you will need small rectangles of paper.
For this demonstration the width of the rectangle is twice the length.

A popular method of cutting rectangles is to use printer paper and dividing the long side into 8 and the short side into 4 to give you 32 rectangles.
