This guide will show you a fun way to use those pretty little leftover pieces of paper, that you don’t have the heart to throw out. These fun flowers make cute decorations and are good for play.

Difficulty level: Beginners

Instructions:

½ inch wide paper strips
Thick paint brush or finger
Paper glue
Scissors
pen

To make the flower petals, wrap the paper strip once around the paint brush and apply glue where it overlaps the edge.

If you do not have a paint brush you can wrap the paper strip once around your finger and glue where it overlaps the edge

Result

Cut off the excess.

If you are using a paint brush and want all of your petals to be the same, slide the finished petal back on the paintbrush and push it up as far as it will go.
Mark the paintbrush by the edges of the paper.

Use these marks to know where to place the other strips when you roll the petals

To make the flower, make a different color roll for the center of the flower and glue a petal to it.

Glue 5 - 7 petals around the center roll.

If you want to make a flower with petals of 2 colors:

Attach the end of another strip of a different color, roll it around and glue where it overlaps.
Cut off the extra paper.

That’s it. Very easy and you can make as many as you like.
