The Title Tag is displayed in many places. It makes it easier for users to understand what the site or page contains and effects their choice to check out your site.
You see the words it contains on search engine results, bookmarks on your search engine and it is the default title on social and bookmarking sites.

You need to choose the wording to influence the search engines ranking of your site and for their clarity and relevancy for uses.
When deciding the Title Tag for the Homepage, think about what is your site about.
Decide the best combination of words that clearly and logically describe the most important content of your site.
If you include your company or site name put it at the end of the title tag.
3
Each page in your site should have a different Title Tag that describes the most important content of that particular page.
This will cause more of your pages to be included in search results and it will make it easier for users to recognize what that page contains.
4
The keywords in the title will effect the rank, but if you put too many, it will be considered "keyword stuffing" and you will be penalized with a lower ranking or even not appearing at all.
Do not use commas between works - they may be interpreted as keyword stuffing
Use a hyphen (-) slash (/) or underscore (_) instead
