How to make an easy hanging paper lantern decoration with 6 sides

This guide will show you how to make a quick and easy hanging decoration from 6 squares of paper. It can be used for party or holiday decorations and is easy for children to make.

Difficulty level: Beginners

Instructions:

Materials:
6 equal sizes squares of colored paper
Paper glue stick
Scissors

Fold paper in half

Fold it in half again

This part is optional to create a design seen on next photo.

At both sides of the closed corner cut a tiny piece

Unfold and you will see the result from the cuts.

Fold the corner points to the center.

Align the triangle fold of the left side of one square to the right side of a second square and glue them together.

Glue the triangles so that you have 4 in a row

Glued 1 triangle on each side of the second square.

Flip to the back side

Glue together the 2 ends marked with an X
And then glue together the 2 ends marked with a circle

Glue the remaining triangles together where they meet
And your decoration is done!
