How to make a paper flexagon.

This guide will show you how to cut and fold paper to create a flexagon. This is a fun paper toy that rotates when you push the outer points to the center.

Difficulty level: Beginners

Instructions:

To make a flexion you will need 1 sheet of A4 paper

Place the paper so that the short ends are at the top and bottom.
Bring the bottom up to the top to fold the paper in half.

The folded edge should be at the bottom.
Bring the right bottom corner up and align the right edge with the top.

Cut off along the edge of the flap you just made.

Open up the paper and fold it in half lengthwise.
Unfold

Fold the top and bottom edges to the center crease you just made.

Fold the side edges to the center crease.

Result. Now unfold

Fold the right edge to the crease on the left that you just made.

Result.
Now unfold and do the same to the left side

Fold the right and left edges to the creases you just made.

Fold the paper in half. There should be 8 squares and the flaps facing inside
Draw a line from the center of the top to the center of the right side

Draw 3 more lines as shown

Draw 2 lines going across diagonally from the corners as shown
Flip the paper over to the other side and repeat steps12 To 14 on the back

Open the half fold
Crease sharply all the diagonally lines and crease again sharply the vertical and the center horizontal line
If you want to color it this is the time before continuing and putting it together

Flip over the paper to the other side
Bring the ends together and insert one side into the pocket

Push it in until you have 2 vertical rows inside
If you have too much trouble doing it you can glue them together one on top over the other but be sure that they are aligned
