How to Fold a Washcloth into a Flower
Fold a washcloth into a decorative flower for guest towels, spa decor, or gifts.
What You'll Need
- 1 clean, dry washcloth (crisp fabric works best)
- Flat, clean surface (table or countertop)
Turn a plain washcloth into a flower shape. Use it to dress up a bathroom or as a small gift accent.
Prepare the Washcloth
Lay the washcloth flat on the surface. Smooth out any wrinkles or creases.
Fold into a Triangle
Fold one corner diagonally to meet the opposite corner, forming a large triangle. Press the folded edge firmly.
Roll the Base
Starting from the longest side (hypotenuse), roll the triangle tightly toward the pointed top. Keep the roll even and firm.
Coil into a Bud
Take one end of the rolled washcloth and coil it inward. Keep the coil compact and tight, forming a circular base.
Shape the Petals
Gently pull and fan out the outer layers of the coil to resemble flower petals. Adjust until the shape looks natural.
Tip
Use a new or crisp washcloth for firmer petals that hold their shape.
Warning
Be gentle when fanning out the petals to avoid tearing the fabric.
