How to make barbequed hamburgers
Kids love hamburgers and so do adults. They are a great barbeque food and quick and easy to make. Beef hamburgers are the popular, but different meats can be used alone or even mixed together with beef.
What You'll Need
- hambugers
- grilled hamburger

Step 1
Anything added to the hamburger meat should be finely chopped to prevent it from falling apart. That includes onions, garlic and fresh herbs. Breadcrumbs can be added to meat that produces a lot of liquids such as turkey meat. The less you handle the meat the better. Meat that is ground only once holds together the best. Don’t squeeze it into patties. Gently make balls and then gently pat them into firm 1 inch thick patties. Make the patties of meat less than 15% fat the same size of the bun. If the meat has more fat make them larger than the buns. The more fat they have the more they will shrink. Gently make a slight indent with your fingers in the center to prevent them from getting rounded tops while cooking - 2
Step 2
Oil the grates and cook on a very hot grill Wait until the hamburgers get a crust before you flip them to the other side so they don’t stick to the grill. Flip them again when that side is crusted. Move them to a cooler part of the grill and continue cooking them a few minutes on each side. When the hamburgers are fully cooked all the red should be gone. Try not to overcook them and make them tough - 3
Step 3
Serve the hamburgers in bums with your favorite toppings
