How to braid paper to make a napkin ring or bracelet

This guide will show you how to braid paper strips. It is easy for children and a nice way to use your left over paper

Difficulty level: Beginners

Instructions:

You will need 3 strips of paper ¾ inch wide
Paper glue

Place 1 paper strip on top of another so that both their tops align with the sides. See the picture
Try to be exact as possible.

Glue in place

Place the 3rd strip so that it aligns with the side of the strip beneath it and the side of the strip going in the same direction.

Pay attention that they are close and aligned the whole length of the strips.

Glue it in place

Rotate the strips so that the 2 side by side are horizontal.

Fold the top strip down so that it aligns with the right side of the single vertical strip.

Result

Rotate the strips so that the 2 side by side are horizontal and on the left

Fold the upper strip down to align it with the left side of the vertical strip

Result

Rotate. Repeat steps 4 to 7

until you have braided the strips to the length you need either for a bracelet or a napkin ring

If you want to add to the length of the strips, cut off the end of the strip past the strip going in the opposite direction. - about halfway to the opposite side.
