How to fold an origami box from a square base

Steps

   Materials: 1 square sheet of paper - one color or different colors on each side

   This box starts with the square base fold. It you do not know how to fold it see the guide on how to fold a square base. Place the paper with the open side at the top Fold the points of the 2 sides to the center crease

   Fold the top point down where it meets the flaps you just made

   Result Flip the paper over to the back side and repeat steps 2 and 3

   Fold the left side to the right as if you were folding a page of a book. Flip the paper over to the back side and repeat

   Result Fold the top point down where it meets the straight edges

   Result Flip the paper over and repeat on the back side

   Fold the left side over to the right as if you were folding a page of a book. Flip the paper over to the back side and repeat

   Fold the flaps up to align with the outer edges

    Unfold one fold that you just made. Separate the layers and stick your finger between them to spread them. Remove your finger and flatten along the creases

    Fold the left side over to the right as if you fold turning a page of a book Flip the paper over to the back side and repeat

    Fold the bottom point up where it meets the straight edges. Give it a very sharp crease and unfold it

    Stick your finger between the layers at the top and spread them out until they become the sides of the box.

    Press down from the top to flatten the bottom and your origami box is finished!
