How to Fold a Six-Pointed Star from A4 Paper (No Cutting)
Fold one sheet of A4 into a six-pointed star. No scissors or glue.
What You'll Need
- A4 paper (one sheet)
Any A4 sheet works — a colored pack is optional.
One A4 sheet, no cuts, no glue. You crease a diagonal, collapse it into a triangle, then fold corners in until six points show. Printer paper is the right weight; cardstock is too stiff.
Crease on a table. If the sheet already has folds, take a fresh one.
Start with a flat A4
Place the sheet portrait. Smooth it out.
Diagonal crease, then unfold
Fold one top corner down so the top edge lines up with the opposite long edge. Crease, then open the sheet fully. That diagonal is your guide.
Fold into a right triangle
Using that crease, fold the same corner down so you get a large right triangle. A rectangle of leftover paper at the bottom is normal — leave it attached.
Fold the triangle tip down
Fold the top point of the triangle toward the bottom edge until the top looks hexagonal. Match the existing creases.
First two points
Fold the two upper corners in so they meet the center line. Crease. Those are the first two star points.
Flip and fold two more
Turn the paper over. Fold the outer corners in to the center line the same way. You should now see four points.
Tuck the last two points
Open the model slightly and reverse-fold or tuck the remaining flaps until two more points appear. This is the fiddly step. If a point disappears, unfold that flap and tuck it the other way.
If the last points won’t sit, unfold just that corner instead of the whole star.
Press the creases
Press every edge so the star stays flat. Refold a floppy point rather than adding glue.
