How to make an origami star box

Steps

   Materials: 1 square piece of paper

   If you know how to fold a square base then skip to step 8 Place the paper with the points at the top, bottom and sides. Fold in half horizontally and unfold.

   Fold in half vertically and unfold.

   Flip the paper over to the back side. Place the paper with the straight edges on the top, bottom and sides. Fold in half horizontally and unfold.

   Fold the paper in half vertically and unfold.

   Pinch all the diagonal folds. Continue to squeese them together and the horizontal folds will go inward. Keep squeezing until they fold inwards.

   Squash down the paper and your square base is finished.

   Make sure the open edge of your square base is at the top. Fold the 2 top sides to align with the center crease. Unfold.

    Fold the 2 side points horizontally from the bottom of the crease you just made in the last step. Unfold

    Lift up the right top layer and fold it along the diagonal crease to align the edge with the center crease. Swash down the triangle that pops up. Repeat on the left side.

    Fold the sides along the crease as shown in the picture

    Fold the bottom point up along the bottom points of the folds in the last step. Unfold

    Bring the top point down to the bottom to fold in half. Make a sharp crease and unfold.

    Stick your fingers between the layers on top and fold back the 4 points along the crease you just made in the last step. Stick your fingers inside to spread out the bottom from the inside.
