How to fold a traditional origami samurai helmet – origami hats for kids

Steps

   You will need 1 square piece of paper that is colored on one side

   Step 2

   
   Place paper with the colored side facing down and the points at the top, bottom and sides. Bring the top point down to the bottom point to fold it in half.

   The long edge should be at the top. Fold the 2 top points down to the bottom center point.

   Fold the 2 flaps you just made up to the top center.

   Fold the top flaps down at an angle. See next picture for the result.

   Take the bottom point of one layer and fold it up until it is a little below the wings you just made. See the next picture for the result.

   Fold it up once more over the corner points.

   Flip the paper over to the back side and fold the bottom up at the center
