    You will need wire or string or a pipe cleaner. This demonstration uses 6 pieces of paper 1.5 inches x 2 ¾ inches . You can use 6 pieces of any size paper of the about the same proportions. Three of them are pink and three green. It looks best when using 3 pieces of paper of one color and 3 of another color.

    Fold the paper in half lengthwise. Repeat on all the pink and green papers

    Fold the 4 corners down to the center. Repeat on all the pink and green papers

    Fold the sides to the middle. Repeat on all the pink and green papers

    Fold the sides of the green papers to the center. Do this only to the green papers.

    Turn the pink papers over to the back side. Fold the sides to the center. Do this to only to the pink papers.

    Place the 3 green papers inside of the 3 pink ones

    Aligned them side by side and twist a wire around the center. A pipe cleaner or string can be used instead of the wire

    Squeeze the top and bottom papers in half to create a star shape

    Gently lift one of the pink petals. Starting from the tip gently open and push out on the bottom Repeat for each of the petals.
