How to make a Christmas tree from cardboard circles
This guide is for a Christmas tree that is 1 foot high and 7 inches wide at the base. You can use this method to make a very large tree using a wider stick, bigger circles with thicker rolls and base

Materials:
Thick cardboard
Wooden skewer
Glue
Scissors
Pointy nail or push pin
Pen
Paper fastener

Cut a cardboard strip
Make a hole about 1 / 2 inch from the end.
This will be the hole for the paper fastener.

Make a mark 1 inch from the hole.
Make 5 more marks 1 / 2 inches apart
Use the nail or push pin to make a hole at each of the marks.

Make a hole in the cardboard with the nail.
Push the paper fastener through the 1 st hole and the hole in the cardboard.
Fasten it in the back.
Put the pen point in the last hole and rotate the strip to draw a circle.
This is the largest circle and the base of the tree.
Make 3 more. Cut out all 4 circles.

Take one of the cutout circles and trace the outline on cardboard.
Cut out the circle.
Now you have 4 circles with a hole in the center and the one circle you just traced without a hole in the center.

Glue all the circles on top of the circle without the hole.

Make sure the holes are aligned before the glue dries.
You can stick the nail or skewer in the center to check.

Use the other 5 holes in the strip to draw and cut 1 circle of each.

Cut 5 strips of paper 2 inches wide. Use a color that matches the cardboard such as a paper bag or old book page.
Roll the paper on the skewer and glue the end closed.

Put glue in the hole of the 5 large circles that you glued together.

With the point part of the skewer on top, push the skewer into the hole.
Slide a rolled paper down to the bottom and put glue on the top.

Slide the next largest cardboard circle down the skewer and then a rolled paper with glue on top.
Repeat until you have glued all the circles.
When the glue has dried your cardboard tree will be ready to decorate.
You can stick a star on the point at the top.
