How to make a square origami envelope that closes with a star
These pretty origami envelopes are made from a square piece of paper.

Steps

Materials:
1 square piece of paper

Hold the paper with the points at the top, bottom and sides.
Bring the top and bottom points together to fold it in half. Unfold.
Bring the sides points together to fold it in half. Unfold.

Flip the paper over to the back side.
Fold the top and bottom edges together to fold it in half. Unfold.
Fold the side edges together to fold it in half. Unfold.

Flip the paper over.
Pinch each of the diagonal folds to the center point.

Keep pinching them and the sides will collapse inward.

The result. Press down to flatten it.

The open ends should be on the bottom.
Fold the side bottom edges to align with the center crease.

Fold the top down along the top edges of the flaps you just made.

Unfold the top and sides.
Flip the paper over to the back side and repeat steps 7 and 8.

Rotate the paper and repeat on the other 3 sides.

Fold the tip to the top right point of the triangle. Make sure the sides are aligned.

Fold the tip to the triangle to the left. * That should be the same as the last triangle.

The right bottom edge of each triangle over laps the one next to it.
The last one will cover the first.
