How to make a standing turkey name card holder

Steps

   Materials: 2 pipe cleaners Bottle cap Scotch tape Round objects to trace circles – such as glasses, lids and coffee cups Stiff paper Paper glue Scissors Pen or colors to draw the face

   Fold the 2 pipe cleaners in half

   Fold the sides down about an inch from the bottom

   Fold them up again about an inch from the bottom

   Cross the sides

   Twist the sides until a little more than half way up

   Bend the bottom to make a foot

   Fold a paper in half. Trace the outline of a glass or round object *Leave room on top for the next step

   Center a bottle cap or similar small round object at the top of the circle you made in the last step. Trace the bottle cap

    Make a curved line on each side to connect the circles See the picture for reference

    Cut out the shape Tape the pipe cleaner legs to one of the shapes

    Draw or cut a piece of paper to make a kite or triangle shape for the beak. Draw or cut paper eyes.

    Smear a generous amount of glue to the back of the shape with the face and press it on top of the shape with the legs.

    Trace a circle from a larger object. Cut out the circle.

    Fold the circle in half Draw scallops around the curved edge

    Cut along the lines of the scalloped edge

    Take the shape with the feet. Flip it over to the back side. Smear glue on the area of the bottom circle. *Do not put glue where the head is

    Unfold the scalloped circle and align the body to the center bottom

    Trace a circle and cut it out. Spread a generous amount of glue to the bottoms of the feet. Press them down onto the circle and hold them in place until the glue has dried.

    You stand-up turkey is ready. Insert a name card behind the head. Happy Thanksgiving!
