Viewing hidden files and folders in Windows 7 requires logging in to the Control Panel and to playing around with the settings.
This guide explains how to do it.

Difficulty level: Beginners

Instructions:

click on the Start menu and select "Control Panel."

Click on "Apperance and personalization".

Under "Folder options" click on "Show hidden files and folders".

Select the "Show hidden files, folders and drives" option
and click on the "OK" button

Now all the hidden directories will be seen in a transparent. folder.

Warnings

Some folders contain hidden operating system files. If you change, move or delete them you can cause serious damage.
