How to make a toy that does a happy dance

   Materials: paper 1 toilet paper roll Pen Scissors Paper glue Colors optional

   Cut 2 paper strips about ¾ inch X 10 inches. Align the ends and glue the strips as shown in the picture

   Lift up the bottom strip

   Bring it over the edge, crease and flatten Stick your thumb under the new bottom strip

   Bring it up over the edge, crease and flatten Repeat bringing the bottom strip up over the edge of the strip on top and creasing and flattening

   Result If you want a longer result you can glue a strip to each end and continue folding over the edges. Cut off the extra paper sticking out Glue the top strip to the one underneath Make 3 more. You need 2 for the arms and 2 for the legs

   Cut a piece of paper large enough to go halfway around the toilet paper roll

   Check to size to see if it goes halfway around Do not glue it

   Put glue on the front and back of each corner and insert the ends of the folded strips to glue them in place

    Cut another piece of paper that is large enough to go around most of the toilet paper roll and glue it in place

    Glue the paper with the arms and legs around from the other side.

    Trace or draw freehand a circle for a head and cut it out Cut a strip of paper. It should not be longer or wider than the toilet paper roll.

    Glue the circle to the top of the paper strip and draw the face and hair You can use colors for the head

    Glue the strip to the inside of the toilet paper roll

    Your dancing toy is ready. You can hold the body and move it up and down to see the happy dance or hang it from a string glued to the back of the top of the head and watch it dance in the wind Have fun!
