How to make a pretty door sign or name plaque from junk mail or old magazines
This guide will show you how to turn your junk mail or old magazines into a beautiful name plaque or door sign.

Materials: Junk mail or old magazines Wooden skewer Scissors or utility knife White glue Small piece of thick cardboard

Cut the junk mail or magazine pages into ¾ inch wide strips.

Fold the strips in half lengthwise. Make a sharp crease and Unfold.

Bring the top and bottom edges to the center crease you just made and make a sharp crease.

Carefully make a slit in the flat end of the skewer with a scissor.

Insert the end of a folded paper into the slit.

Roll the paper around tightly.

Apply glue to the end of the paper. Roll up the end and hold in place for a minute.

Cut a piece of thick cardboard the size you want your name plaque to be. For this guide a 3 ½ inches by 4 inches piece was used. Apply glue only around the edges of the cardboard . and glue a peice of pretty colored junk mail or magazine page to it.

Glue your circles around the edges. Let it dry and your pretty plaque is ready for a sign or your name!
