How to make decorative balls with plastic bags
Bowls or glass vases filled with decorative balls can add nice color accents to your room. Don't throw out those pretty colored plastic garbage bags that you used to store things in. You can make decorative balls from them.

Step 1
Materials: Plastic garbage bags Glue – white, super glue or any glue that works with plastic 1 or 2 rubber bands Toothpick Ball for base – any ball Tape - 2

Fold the plastic bag a few time lengthwise and cut strips - 3

Braid 3 strips - 4
Step 4
Glue the end of the braid to the ball and tape it in place. Let the glue dry completely - 5

Add more glue and wind the braid around and over the messy end of the braid. Hold it in place with a rubber band and let dry completely - 6

Add more glue and continue winding the braid. Do only a few rounds at a time. Hold it in place with the rubber band until the glue dries completely. - 7

Continue gluing and winding. If you have used all of the braid and need to add another, cut the end on the ball and glue it in place. When it has dried put a neat cut end of the next braid up against the end on the ball. - 8

Glue and wind around until you get to the end. - 9

Cut off the excess. Glue and press the end in place with a toothpick. - 10

You can make many of the same color of the same size or different colors and different sizes to fill bowls, glass vases or containers. Have fun decorating!
