This guide will show you how to fold and cut a piece of paper to make a 6 pointed star. It is a nice surprise when you unfold the paper.
They make nice decorations for Jewish holidays.

Difficulty level: Beginners

Instructions:

Materials:
1 rectangular piece of paper
scissors

Place the paper so that the short ends are at the top and bottom

Bring the bottom edge up to the top to fold in half.

Rotate the paper so that the folded edge is on the left side

Bring the top edge down to the bottom to fold in half.

Hold the paper so that the open ends are on the bottom and right side.

Take the right top edge and bring it down.

See next picture for reference of how it should look when folded

The top edge you are bringing down should be placed so that it makes these 2 triangles the same width.

Bring the left side up to align with the right edge.
These 2 layers should be the same width. and make the paper folded in thirds.

Turn paper so that the narrow point is on the bottom.

Take the bottom point and fold it up half way of the right side of the outer triangle and pinch for a reference point to start cutting

Cut at an angle, from the pinch mark to the top left point of the outer triangle.

Throw away the top part that is marked with the X in the picture

Cut a straight line slightly below the right point.

Throw away the bottom part that is marked with an X in the picture.

Using the midpoint of the 2 right bottom edges, carefully cut out a small triangle.

* Pay attention that the widths remaining on right and bottom are equal

After cutting it should look like the picture.

Carefully unfold to reveal your 6 pointed star.
