How to make a 7 flower pop-up card.

Steps

   Materials: 7 squares of paper the same size for the flowers Thick paper for the card base scissors paper glue

   fold the 7 squares of paper in half diagonally

   fold them in half again

   fold in half one more time

   Take only one of the folded squares and cut a straight line across the top

   On the same paper cut a half oval starting from 1/3 – 1/2 of the way from the top Continue cutting the top of the oval as close to the top as you can. Try to make the ½ oval shape equal on both sides.

   Use the paper with the half oval cut from the top as a template to cut identical half ovals on the remaining 6 folded papers

   Carefully unfold the papers. Cut out one of the petals along the crease lines.

   Glue together the petals on either side of the cut, one on top of the other. Their edges should be aligned and a cup shape will form.

    Do this for all the 7 papers.

    Flatten the 7 shapes.

    Now we are going to glue the flowers together . It is important that you only put a dot of glue on the tip – do not glue more than the tips. Take one flower and put a dot of glue on the tip of left petal.

    Do the same for the other side. Put one dot of glue on the right petal. Align the petal of another flower on top of it.

    Put a dot of glue on the top 3 center tips Align another flower on top of them

    Put a dot of glue on the tips of the 3 left petals Align another flower on top of them

    Do the same to the other side - Put a dot of glue on the 3 right tips Align a flower on top of it

    Put a dot of glue on the 3 middle tips Align the last flower on top of them

    Fold you card in half. Lift up one side of your card. Place a dot of glue on the middle petal on the front and the middle petal on the back- you are placing glue only where they touch the card. Align the flower to the center crease of the card. Close the card and press down Wait for the glue to dry completely

    Open your card and watch the flowers pop up!
