How to make a Valentine ’s Day pop-up heart card

Steps

   Materials: 2 stiff rectangular papers Scissors, ruler

   Place the paper with the short ends at the top and bottom. Bring the top edge down to the bottom to fold in half.

   Rotate the paper so that the folded edge is at the right side. Starting from the open end, cut out the 2 layers from the top approximately ¼ of the way up and 2/3 of the way in

   Fold the part sticking up so that the open right edge aligns with the top of the area you just cut away Crease sharply and unfold.

   Start at the top of the angle crease point and cut away an arch shape as shown.

   Turn the card over and fold along the crease to sharpen it

   Unfold the card . Push the heart forward from the back and pinch the center fold on the inside Press the V fold from the outside to flatten it.

   Close the card and press down to sharpen the creases

    Fold the second paper in half. Make a sharp crease and unfold it. Align the folded edge of the paper with the heart to the crease of the second paper. Glue it in place. Cut a straight line across off of the top, using the top of the heart paper as a guide..

    Glue the other side to background, fold in half and sharpen the crease.
