How to make a large origami star decoration

Steps

   You will need: 8 rectangles of paper the length twice the width - (for this guide I cut a shopping bag into 2 inches X 4 inches pieces to make a 8 inch wide star) Paper glue

   Fold the rectangle in half lengthwise and unfold

   Turn the paper so the short ends are on top and bottom Fold the top corners down to the center crease and align the edges

   Fold the slanting edges at the top down to align with the center crease

   Fold the bottom right corner up to align the bottom edge with the center crease

   Result Make 8 of these units

   Align the bottom slanted edge of a unit to the center crease of the second unit and glue it in place. The location is the black line shown in the picture

   Align the third unit to the center crease of the second unit and glue it in place

    Continue gluing the remaining units along the center crease of the one before When you get to the last unit stick its left side under the one on the right and glue in place

    Lift up the triangles at the center and your large star decoration is ready *You can make these stars as large as you want. The completed star will be twice the length of one rectangle you will fold
