How to make a necklace for your Egyptian costume
This is a quick and easy way to make an Egyptian style necklace for your costume.

Step 1
Materials: Cardboard Scissors Chop stick or medium sized paintbrush Pen White glue String or ribbon Sparkly glue or paints or colored paper to decorate Colored paper to cover cardboard - gold is nice - 2

Mark a 1 inch X 3 inch rectangle on scrap paper or cardboard - 3

Mark ½ inch on the left and the right of the top line of the rectangle - 4

Make a line from the left mark you just made to the bottom left edge of the rectangle Make a line from the right mark you just made to the bottom right edge of the rectangle - 5

Cut out your template - 6

Trace the template on cardboard 12 times for a child’s necklace And 16 times for an adult’s necklace - 7

Cut out the pieces - 8

Glue them to the back of your gold paper When completely dry cut it out but leave an extra tab of paper on top 1 ¼ inch higher And at the bottom about ½ inch - 9

Put a chopstick on top of the paper tab right above the cardboard piece and bring the paper up and over it. Glue only the area where the paper touches the cardboard. Pull the chopstick out. You should have a loop Fold up the paper sticking out at the bottom and glue in place - 10

Decorate your pieces with lines of sparkles, paint or piece of paper Decorate all the pieces the same - 11

When dry insert a thin ribbon or string into the loops you made with the chopstick Your Egyptian necklace is finished!
