How to make a Pirate hook

Steps

   Materials: 1 plastic bottle Cardboard Scissors Black acrylic paint Pen or pencil 2 round objects to trace circles - One smaller than the other. A coffee cup and a smaller glass was used in this guide

   Cut along the bottom, at the straight edge, of the plastic bottle

   Cut off the top of the bottle, just beneath the plastic band.

   Trace the large cup or similar sized round object 2 times on cardboard. Cut out the 2 circles

   Take one of the circles you just cut out and trace the outline of the smaller circle in the center.

   Draw a straight line connecting the 2 circle - a little to the left of the bottom center Draw a curved line upward as shown in the picture. Cut between the lines you drew and the lines of the inner circle

   Place the cut circle on cardboard. Trace the outline of the cut circle and add straight lines about 2 ½ inches long. See the picture. Cut out along all the lines you just made

   Result. This is the hook.

   Hold the straight edge against the center of the other circle and trace a line around it.

    Cut out the area inside the lines

    Insert the hook into the slit

    Paint all sides of the hook, circle and a little way down the straight end. Let it dry completely

    Put a generous amount of glue on the top of the bottle Place the straight end of the hook into the top of the bottle. Stand the bottle up and let the glue dry completely

    Paint down to the bottom of the curved area of the bottle

    Your Pirate hook is ready for your pirate costume! Put your hand into the bottle and hold the stick inside. Pull your sleeve down over the unpainted part of the bottle.
