How to make a pirate knife

Steps

   Materials: Cardboard 2 toilet paper rolls Round object such as a coffee cup Aluminum foil for baking Scissors Craft knife Pen or pencil Black paint 2 clothes pins White glue

   Cut a slit lengthwise in 1 of the toilet paper rolls

   Trace the outline of the coffee cup or similar sized round object on cardboard and cut it out

   Take a large piece of cardboard. – Here a large shoe box for boots was used. Makes 3 marks: About 1/3 of the way to the right at the top 1/3 of the way from the left of the bottom about ¼ of the way from the top left – ¼ of the way down

   Use the marks as guides to help you draw the blade as shown in picture

   Cut out the blade

   Hold the straight bottom edge of the blade over the center of the circle and make a line around it.

   Cut out inside the lines

   Insert the edge of the blade through the cut in the circle

    Take the second toilet paper roll and squash it flat so it is folded in half. On the right side, cut off the top and bottom corners to round them off and make an arc

    On the left side, cut out the shape shown in the picture. It should be about the same width all around

    On a piece of cardboard, trace the outline of the cut toilet paper roll and add 1 ½ inches to the straight ends as shown in picture. Cut it out.

    Coat the knife handle, on both sides with glue ( up to the circle) Wrap the slit toilet paper roll around over the glue. Flatten it and put glue under the flap.

    Insert the ends of the handle under the flap. Hold it in place with the clothes pins and let it dry.

    Wrap the blade with aluminum foil If there are any edges that pop up a little you can glue them down

    Paint the handle on all sides with black paint
