How to make a princess cone hat

Steps

   Step 1

   
   Materials: Stiff paper - 15 inches square Scissors Paper glue Pen Straight pin or pin for bulletin boards Optional: Crepe paper or fabric

   Cut the paper to make it 15 inches X 15 inches Cut strips of paper and glue them together so that they make a strip 16 inches long.

   Place the square paper with the points at the top, bottom and side. Push the pin at the top center of the strip and through the top point of the square paper. Pierce a hole, with a pin or the point of the pen, where it meets with the left point of the square paper. Pivot the strip with the pen point in the hole to mark an arc. Cut along the arc line

   If you are using decorative paper skip to step 6. Put glue around the edges of the paper and glue it to the crepe paper or fabric. If you are using fabric use glue that adheres to fabric . Cut along one straight edge and the arc. Leave a little extra along the other straight edge so you can fold over it.

   Fold the edge over and glue in place. Cut a very tiny piece off the top point. Very tiny! Your cone shape is ready to be decorated and rolled up.

   If you want to make streamers, coming out of the top, you can cut strips from crepe paper. You can use fabric or ribbons to make the streamers.

   Twist the strips together and glue them inside the top point.

   Bring the folded straight edges around and over the other straight edge to make a cone shape. Check to see if it fits nicely on you head. Glue it in place.

   That’s it. Very easy. You can add decorations if you like. Your princess hat is ready!
