How to make a quick and easy desert or food tower
A food or desert tower is a great way to display food on your buffet table. It can be used to solve the problem of not having enough room and gives that extra touch with height to the table arrangement. This simple food tower can be made in a very short time with a few cans, cardboard and any decorative or wrapping paper you have around.

If you don’t want the bottom sitting right on the table you can put a tuna can under it.

Step 1
Materials: Cardboard Circular items for templates such as a large serving tray and dishes 2 full cans of food – the food provides weight and makes the tower stable Decorative or wrapping paper Pen, scissors, scotch tape, paper glue stick - 2

Place a large round serving tray on the cardboard and make an outline around it. Cut out the circle. Repeat for a large plate and a small plate - 3

Cut paper about 1 ½ inches bigger than the height of 2 cans and long enough to go around - 4

Roll the can in the paper. Stand it on its bottom, adjust the paper so that it aligns with the table and tape the paper closed. - 5

Make slits with your scissor around the paper on top. Cut as close to the edge as you can. - 6

Pull the paper outwards so that it is level with the can. If you see that the cuts do not reach the tip of the can you can slit them some more with a knife - 7

Trace and mark the cardboard circles you made on decorative paper. - 8

Cut them out a little bit outside of the line Glue with paper glue to cardboard with the drawn line facing down, so you don’t see it - 9

Tape the tabs sticking out from the can to the underside of the cardboard circles you just covered - 10

Stack, center and align your pieces. - 11
