How to Make Paper Cup Daisies
Turn paper cups into daisies with this simple craft for kids.
What You'll Need
- Paper cups (white or colored)
- Craft glue or white school glue
- Paints (tempera or acrylic) or markers
- Construction paper (yellow for center)
- Optional: glitter, buttons, pom-poms, sequins, pipe cleaners
- Scissors (child-safe)
- Paintbrushes (if using paint)
Make daisies from paper cups. Use paint or markers for color. Add optional decorations.
Prepare the Cup
Cut off the top rim of the paper cup. Then cut straight strips from the rim down to the bottom, leaving the bottom intact. Make about 8-10 strips.
Form Petals
Press each strip outward to flatten. Curl the tips of the strips over a pencil or your finger to shape petals.
Color the Petals
Paint or color the strips. Let dry completely. Use white for classic daisies or any color you like.
Add the Center
Cut a small circle from yellow construction paper. Glue it to the bottom center of the cup. Add optional decorations like glitter or buttons.
Display
Stick a pipe cleaner through the bottom as a stem, or place the daisy on a flat surface. Group several for a bouquet.
