How to make a cardboard bow tie

Steps

   Step 1

   

   Materials:

   Thin cardboard

   Wrapping paper

   Paper glue

   Measure and cut paper a little more than the height and a little more than double the length of the cardboard

   Step 3

   

   Place the cardboard on the backside of the paper.

   Fold over an edge and glue it in place

   Put glue on the cardboard

   Step 4

   

   Fold over the paper onto the glue.

   Fold over the edges and glue them down

   Step 5

   

   Accordion fold the long  side of the cardboard

   Fold it in half to crease the center

   Cut a strip of cardboard  about 2.5 inches by 6 inches

   Cut a piece of wrapping paper that is large enough to fold over all the edges.

   Fold the paper over the top and bottom long edges and glue it in place.

   Roll up the cardboard and glue the extra paper down to hold it together

   Step 9

   

   Slip one side of the accordion folded cardboard into the tube.

    Slide the tube to the center and spread the accordion folds on both sides.
