How to make a checkers game from cardboard

Step 1
Materials: 1 thick cardboard 12 inches X 12 inches Thick cardboard for the playing pieces A small bottle cap Scrap paper Paper glue Gauche or acrylic paint Ruler Pen Scissors or crafts knife - 2

Trace 24 circles with the bottle cap. *You can make a few extra in case any pieces are lost - 3

Cut out the circles Paint 12 one color and 12 a different color - 4

Coat the 12 X 12 inch cardboard with a layer of undiluted paint. *Water added to the paint will warp the cardboard Let it dry completely *Instead of paint you can glue a sheet of colored paper to one side of the cardboard - 5

Cut your scrap paper into 32 squares measuring 1 ½ inches X 1 ½ inches - 6

Put a tiny bit of paper glue on the center of the back of the squares and arrange them so that they are in a row along the bottom edge with a space of one square in between Put the next row so that the square touch the corners *If only a tiny bit of glue is used you can move them around until you are satisfied with the alignment - 7
